The tension in every bar on the strip was palpable. You could see it in their faces--they were hopeful, but as Sox fans they were also guarded because they'd been down this road too many times before, only to have their hearts trampled on. As a side note, one of the guys I was with (name of Bill--not seen in this picture) had been in the movie MAJOR LEAGUE 2. He played the DH.
